Special Financial Incentive Scheme 2020: Applications are invited from ST (P) & OBC/MOBC meritorious students for “Financial Assistance” under the scheme of “Special Financial Incentive to ST (P) & OBC/ MOBC Meritorious Students” for the year 2020-21.

Scheme Name

• Special Financial Incentive to ST (P) & OBC/MOBC Meritorious Students 2020-21

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must belong to the ST (P) & OBC/MOBC community of Assam.
• Students must have secured 65% or above in Graduation and 60% or above in Post Graduation examination.
• This incentive shall be awarded only to the meritorious students who have secured the prescribed percentage of marks or grades in the academic year 2020-21. No claim would be considered to those who have qualified for the examination prior to 1st January 2020.
• There are no income criteria of Parents/ Guardians for availing of this benefit

Note

Grant of financial assistance under this scheme to any ST (P) & OBC/MOBC Student is not a matter of right. Assistance would be extended depending on the applicant satisfying the eligibility and also keeping in view the financial allocation available for the purpose. The Selection Committee reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason thereof if the application is not found satisfactory. Moreover, this Directorate will not be held responsible for any type of false information/ error provided by the applicant

All the applications received by the Director, Welfare of Plains Tribes & Backward Classes, Assam will be placed before the Selection Committee which will scrutinize the same and approve the list of beneficiaries under the scheme

How to Apply

Students can apply in the proper prescribed format which is uploaded in the official website “www.directorwptbc.assam.gov.in” for the same along with all the relevant documents to the office of the Directorate of Welfare of Plain Tribes & Backward Classes, Assam, Rukmini Nagar, Dispur Last Gate, Satrinivash Path, Ghy-6 on or before 30th January 2021.
