Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Army Agniveer recruitment 2023 is a four-stage process. The stages include the following:
- Online Application: Candidates are required to apply online through the Indian Army’s official website.
- Written Exam: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to appear for a written exam that tests their knowledge and aptitude.
- Physical Fitness Test: Candidates who clear the written exam are required to undergo a physical fitness test. This includes a run, push-ups, sit-ups, and chin-ups.
Examination Fees
An examination fee of Rs 250/- per applicant is to be paid by the candidate for the online examination. The candidate on successfully filling the application will be directed to SBI portal through a link on the website. At the SBI portal make payment of Rs 250/- plus Bank charges as applicable. The payment can be made through any of these payment options available:-
- (i) Payment Gateway Facility through Maestro, Master Card, VISA, Rupay Cards both Credit & Debit of all major banks.
- (ii) Internet banking of SBI and other banks.
- (iii) UPI (Bhim)

1. Agniveer (General Duty)
To be considered eligible, candidates must have achieved a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in their class 10th examination, with no less than 33% marks in each individual subject. Additionally, applicants must meet certain age criteria, with a minimum age of 17 years 6 months and a maximum age of 21 years. Those born between October 1st, 2002 and April 1st, 2006 (inclusive of both dates) are eligible to apply
2. Agniveer (Technical)
To apply for this opportunity, candidates must have completed their 12th grade in the Science stream with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their core subjects, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and no less than 40% marks in each subject. Moreover, applicants must satisfy the prescribed age criteria, which specify that the candidate should be at least 17 years 6 months old and not more than 21 years of age. The candidate’s birth date must fall between October 1st, 2002, and April 1st, 2006, inclusive of both days.
3. Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper (Technical)
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must have completed their 12th grade in any stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and at least 50% marks in each subject. It is mandatory for candidates to have studied English and Mathematics/Accounts/Book Keeping in their Class XII. Additionally, candidates must satisfy the specified age criteria, which requires that they be at least 17 years 6 months old and no more than 21 years of age. Candidates born between October 1st, 2002 and April 1st, 2006, inclusive of both dates, are eligible to apply.
4. Agniveer Tradesmen 10th Pass
To be considered eligible for this opportunity, candidates must have completed their 10th grade examination and obtained at least 33% marks in each individual subject. Additionally, applicants must satisfy the age criteria, which specifies that the candidate should be at least 17 years 6 months old and not more than 21 years of age. Candidates born between October 1st, 2002, and April 1st, 2006, inclusive of both dates, are eligible to apply.
5. Agniveer Tradesmen 8th Pass
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must have passed their 8th-grade examination with at least 33% marks in each individual subject. Moreover, the candidate must satisfy the age criteria, which specify that the applicant should be at least 17 years 6 months old and no more than 21 years of age.
